Well, some stuff has changed.
Some for the better, some for the worse, but it is what it is.
For some of the good stuff, I'm finally in the YouTube Partner Program! It took a long time, and posting and editing videos non-stop for the last, (I wanna say year and a half?) every single day. (And at one point, twice a day)
But ya boy made it in.
But idk if it's just me, but the creative communities on a lot of websites feel.... Boring this year :(
Everything feels really dry, and a lot of artists I know have stopped posting as much. It really sucks...
On a side note, I was thinking about trying to start another Collab again if I have the time. It would be a pretty fun one, and one that's fairly flexible, so a lot of people would be able to join. The collabs I've started in the past have for the most part, all received massive contributions, so I hope it could happen again.
I just wanna see some of the fun liveliness again y'know?
But anyway, that's enough from me for now.
Take care everyone.

You seriously had to post and edit videos every single day for the past ~year and a half, just to get on YouTube's Partner Program? No wonder most animators merely use YouTube as just another place to dump their Newgrounds animations, or forgo animation entirely for Let's Play videos like OneyPlays.
Also, yeah, I suppose it's a bit boring, but considering the absolute corporate-manufactured drama happening in the real world right now, I suppose people don't really have the appetite for similar manufactured drama in their art communities at the moment. Personally, that's why I'm on Newgrounds in the first place, people aren't constantly trying to "cancel" each other here like on the website formerly known as Twitter. Though I suppose we could use some more "positive" excitement in our lives. I've participated in a little collab, it was fun and not a lot of extra work for me.

Yup. It takes quite a while because of the requirements.
But even then, while it took over a year, I've still grown faster there, than I ever have on Newgrounds, which is sad, but I see why a lot of creators left to there. (I'd never do that though, I love the site too much lol)
I've been on good old NG for like 6-ish years now.
Yeah gameplay does a lot better, but some lucky animators have done really HUGE numbers. It's all just part of the luck game. There's also the fact that game vids are waaaaay easier to produce and edit than actually having to try and consistently make good animations on any type of schedule. Just look at poor Meat canyon.
Yeah, I kinda figured that irl events could be a huge reason. It's a shame though. Hopefully things quiet down and go back to normal. I'm on a buncha sites, and they've all got similarly quiet. And yes, it's why I love Newgrounds as well! It's a unique place nowadays, and I appreciate that.
